SARAH LLOYD
Sarah is a yoga teacher, craniosacral therapist, fascial bodyworker and somatic movement educator. She trained from an early age to become a professional classical dancer and flautist and worked for 15 years as a contemporary dancer, choreographer and teacher, performing throughout the UK and Europe.
In her thirties, Sarah retrained as a sports massage therapist and craniosacral therapist via the support of the Dancers’ Career Development Fund. She also began her journey with Body-Mind Centering (BMC) studying in the US, Hungary and the UK. BMC has always remained a major focus in her yoga teaching.
Sarah has worked as a therapist in chiropractic, osteopathic, physiotherapy and acupuncture clinics in London and Brighton since 2005. She has also worked as a tutor for the biodynamic craniosacral therapy practitioner training at the Craniosacral Therapy Educational Trust in London and with Paul Vick at Resonance Trainings in Stroud, England.
She has taught dance, yoga, somatic movement and bodywork for over 30 years, working within professional dance organisations, universities, colleges, schools, youth groups, adult education, health organisations and the corporate sector. In 2017, she undertook a Scaravelli yoga teacher development training in Brighton with Dot Bowen. Guest teachers included Diane Long, Monica Voss, John Stirk and Gary Carter. Her classes continue to explore and be informed by Vanda Scaravelli’s teachings.
Sarah moved to Denmark in 2020 and now lives on a farm in Lejre where she teaches yoga and works as a biodynamic craniosacral therapist.
